About the role

We work with three major esports leagues who want live win-probability numbers on broadcast overlays. Fast-moving team, one clear problem: predict match outcomes in real time using in-game telemetry, and don't overthink the UI around it. Three of us ship the modeling side of the product. The output is a live probability feed consumed by broadcast graphics and a companion mobile app used during matches. We need someone who ships, not someone who wants six weeks to explore architectures. We expect you to take ownership of the prediction pipeline within your first month, ship incremental improvements weekly, and be comfortable debugging live during broadcast windows when something breaks.

Responsibilities

  • Build real-time win-probability models from game telemetry
  • Own the prediction pipeline from ingestion to broadcast feed
  • Debug live issues during broadcast windows
  • Ship weekly model improvements
  • Work directly with league data partners on telemetry access

Requirements

  • 3+ years building real-time predictive models
  • Comfortable with high-pressure, live-event support
  • Strong Python and SQL
  • Interest in esports or competitive gaming a plus
