AI Factory Safety PPE Compliance Vision Engineer

About the role

Our production floor runs three shifts, and safety compliance today depends on a supervisor walking the line every hour to spot missing hard hats or gloves. This role builds the camera-based system that flags PPE violations in real time and alerts the shift supervisor before someone gets hurt. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints, clear ownership, and weekly syncs with the safety compliance lead. On-site work is required since the training data comes directly from our own floor cameras.

Responsibilities

  • Build a computer vision model detecting missing PPE on the production floor
  • Tune detection accuracy against real floor camera footage
  • Partner with the safety compliance lead to validate alerts

Requirements

  • 3+ years applying computer vision to industrial video
  • Comfortable working on-site with facility safety teams
  • Experience with real-time inference pipelines
