AI Feature Flag Experiment Guardrail Engineer

About the role

You'll be the fourth engineer on a product analytics squad of eleven, working directly with the growth PM who owns our experimentation roadmap. The product is a self-serve experimentation platform used by product managers across 200+ customer teams to run feature flag rollouts safely. What we expect from you: build the guardrail system that automatically pauses risky experiments when key metrics regress, with clear ownership over the alerting logic and weekly syncs with the platform lead to review incidents. This is a six-month contract with strong potential to extend.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated guardrails that pause underperforming experiments
  • Own alerting logic for metric regression detection
  • Partner with product managers to define guardrail thresholds
  • Document incident postmortems for paused experiments

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience with experimentation or analytics platforms
  • Python and SQL proficiency
  • Familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
  • Available for a 6-month contract, potential extension
