About the role

You'll be the third growth engineer on a team of twelve, working directly with the product analytics lead who owns our conversion funnel. Right now we send the same upgrade prompt to every free user regardless of how they actually use the product, and it shows in our flat trial-to-paid rate. Your job is to build a model that predicts which in-app moment is most likely to convert a specific user, then wire that prediction into our messaging service. It's a small, well-scoped project with a fast feedback loop — you'll know within two weeks whether your first model moved the number.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build a model predicting the best moment to show upgrade prompts
  • Partner with product to instrument new in-app events
  • Report weekly on how nudge timing affects conversion

Requirements

  • 1-2 years working with product or growth analytics data
  • Comfortable with sql and basic statistical testing
  • Able to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders
