About the role

Our mission is to keep supply chains trustworthy for the manufacturers and retailers who depend on accurate freight documentation to run their operations. Our clients include mid-market manufacturers who've been burned by carriers submitting inflated or duplicated freight claims. What we expect from you is a detection model that flags suspicious carrier billing patterns, like duplicate shipment claims or rate discrepancies against contracted terms, before payments go out. You'll work alongside our procurement analytics team on a contract basis, with data quality and false-positive control treated as strict requirements given the financial stakes involved.

Responsibilities

  • Build fraud detection models for freight carrier billing data
  • Flag duplicate claims and rate discrepancies before payment
  • Collaborate with procurement analytics on validation rules
  • Maintain low false-positive rates given financial stakes
  • Document flagged cases for the finance review team

Requirements

  • 1-2 years in fraud detection or procurement analytics
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for transactional data
  • Experience with scikit-learn or similar modeling tools
  • Comfortable working on a contract engagement
  • Attention to detail with financial data
