AI Generated Content Watermarking Engineer

Jackson Li

Full-time · Job · Los_Angeles

About the role

Regulators are starting to ask AI vendors to prove which content came from a model and which didn't, and right now we have no reliable way to answer that question after the fact. We publish internally and encourage conference submissions, so this role expects you to read the latest watermarking and provenance research and turn findings into production-ready detection methods within weeks, not months. You'll design watermarking schemes that survive paraphrasing and translation, then build the detection tooling our compliance team uses to verify provenance claims on demand.

Responsibilities

  • Design watermarking schemes for generated text that survive editing
  • Build detection tooling to verify content provenance on demand
  • Research and implement findings from watermarking and provenance literature
  • Present findings and trade-offs to engineering and compliance leadership

Requirements

  • 5+ years in NLP research or applied ML for content provenance
  • Strong publication or applied research track record
  • Deep familiarity with text generation and detection methods

Benefits

  • Fully remote with flexible research hours
  • Dedicated budget for conference travel and publications
  • Top-of-market compensation for specialized security research
