About the role

The playlists you'll help build get streamed by real listeners looking for exactly the right mood, not just the right genre tag. Our music generation and mastering pipelines already produce and polish tracks at scale, but classifying and organizing that growing catalog into coherent, mood-consistent playlists is still done manually by a small curation team that can't keep pace. This role builds classification models that tag tracks by genre and mood, then feeds curated playlist candidates to the human curation team.

Responsibilities

  • Build genre and mood classification models across the growing music catalog
  • Generate curated playlist candidates for human curator review
  • Evaluate classification accuracy against curator feedback
  • Maintain the pipeline as new genres and mood categories are added

Requirements

  • Some experience with audio or multi-label classification models
  • Comfortable with TensorFlow and Hugging Face pipelines
  • Interest in music or audio content platforms
  • Ability to work closely with a non-technical curation team
