About the role

GPU clusters are the most expensive line item in any AI company's budget, and most teams have no idea what next month's bill will look like. A single researcher launching a large training run can swing the monthly cost by $50K. Our cost forecasting tool predicts GPU spending based on scheduled experiments, historical utilization patterns, and capacity commitments. As a junior analyst, you'll build the forecasting pipelines: aggregating historical spending data by team, project, and instance type, identifying seasonal patterns and trend lines, and producing weekly cost forecasts that finance teams use for budget planning. You'll also build the variance analysis reports that explain why actual spending differed from forecast — was it an unplanned experiment, a pricing change, or a capacity commitment that didn't get utilized? The FinOps team is three people. You'll learn GPU pricing dynamics quickly because the data tells clear stories. Your manager will review your first forecasts, but within 3 months you'll own the weekly forecast production independently.

Fully remote.
