About the role

Our mission is to give water utilities and agricultural cooperatives a multi-year runway before an aquifer runs dry, instead of a crisis announcement after the wells go quiet. This role builds the forecasting core of that mission. You will model groundwater table trajectories by fusing satellite gravimetry data, well-level telemetry, and regional pumping records, then translate those trajectories into risk timelines that non-technical water managers can act on. Expect close collaboration with our hydrology advisors and direct customer-facing calls with municipal water authorities who will use your forecasts to plan infrastructure investment years in advance.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build time-series forecasting models over satellite gravimetry and well telemetry data
  • Translate model uncertainty into risk timelines usable by non-technical stakeholders
  • Validate forecasts against historical depletion events across multiple basins
  • Collaborate with hydrology advisors to incorporate domain constraints into models
  • Present findings directly to municipal water authority clients

Requirements

  • 5+ years in applied time-series forecasting or environmental data science
  • Strong Python and TensorFlow experience
  • Comfortable with GCP-based data pipelines at scale
  • Prior exposure to geospatial or remote sensing data is a plus
