AI In-App Tooltip Optimization Engineer

About the role

The tooltip recommendations you'll ship get seen by every free-trial user in their first session, and right now they're the same generic hints for everyone. We don't care where you work from. We care about output, clear communication, and shipping experiments fast. You'll build a model that decides which tooltip to show based on in-app behavior, then run experiments measuring activation lift across trial cohorts. This is a freelance engagement scoped around a specific activation initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Build a model selecting tooltips based on in-app behavior
  • Run experiments measuring activation lift across cohorts
  • Report findings to the growth team biweekly

Requirements

  • 3+ years with python and experimentation methodology
  • Experience with statistics for A/B test analysis
  • Comfortable working independently on a freelance basis
