About the role

GPU cluster provisioning at our scale still involves a platform engineer manually approving capacity requests through a Slack thread. That workflow breaks down the moment more than two teams need GPUs on the same day. As Senior AI Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you'll build the automated approval and provisioning pipeline that replaces that Slack thread, integrating with our existing Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure. You'll report directly to our head of infrastructure, with full ownership over how automated capacity allocation works across the entire research organization.

Responsibilities

  • Automate GPU capacity request approval and provisioning
  • Integrate automation with existing Kubernetes and AWS setup
  • Reduce manual bottlenecks in cross-team resource allocation
  • Own infrastructure automation roadmap end to end

Requirements

  • 7+ years of infrastructure or MLOps engineering experience
  • Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS
  • Experience with Airflow-based orchestration
  • Track record owning infrastructure automation at scale
