AI Infrastructure Automation Lead

About the role

As a fully async team spread across 9 time zones, we believe great engineers do their best work without someone watching over their shoulder. This role is no exception. You'll lead the automation layer that provisions and tears down infrastructure for our deployment pipelines, replacing manual runbooks with self-service tooling. Async-first doesn't mean disconnected: weekly syncs keep the team aligned while leaving the rest of your week for deep work.

Responsibilities

  • Design self-service infrastructure provisioning for deployment teams
  • Reduce manual runbook steps through automation
  • Own Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure-as-code standards
  • Mentor engineers on infrastructure automation practices

Requirements

  • 6+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering
  • Deep AWS and Kubernetes experience
  • Track record of replacing manual processes with automation
  • Strong written communication for async collaboration
