About the role

Our infrastructure team gets paged for issues that could often be resolved by a runbook, if only the on-call engineer knew which runbook to check. This role builds the bot that reads incoming alerts and suggests the most relevant runbook and past incident before a human even opens the alert, cutting time-to-acknowledge across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Build a bot suggesting runbooks based on incoming alert data
  • Surface relevant past incidents alongside runbook suggestions
  • Track reduction in time-to-acknowledge after rollout

Requirements

  • 3+ years in infrastructure engineering or SRE tooling
  • Experience with alerting systems and retrieval-based tools
  • Comfortable working directly with the on-call team
