About the role

Our mission is to give compliance teams an early read on suspicious trading patterns before regulators come asking questions. This role focuses on detecting unusual trading activity that clusters around material news events, using timing correlation and network analysis of trader relationships. Our clients include Fortune 500 financial institutions, so false positives carry real cost — every flagged signal needs to hold up under a compliance officer's scrutiny, not just look interesting in a notebook. You'll work closely with our existing threat intelligence analysts on shared data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Build models detecting suspicious trading activity around news events
  • Design network analysis to surface trader relationship clusters
  • Validate flagged signals with compliance officers before escalation

Requirements

  • 5+ years in financial fraud, risk, or market surveillance analytics
  • Strong spark and large-scale statistical analysis experience
  • Comfortable working under regulatory scrutiny and audit requirements
