Reliability and auditability are non-negotiable, and right now a meaningful share of incoming policy documents still arrive as scanned PDFs that get keyed in by hand. • Build an OCR pipeline to extract structured fields from scanned policy documents
  • Validate extraction accuracy against manually keyed historical records
  • Integrate extracted data into downstream underwriting pipelines
  • Document edge cases where OCR confidence is low for manual review routing

Requirements

  • Experience building production OCR or document extraction pipelines
  • Strong Python and computer vision library experience
  • Familiarity with insurance or financial document formats a plus
  • Able to deliver against a fixed four-month contract timeline

Benefits

  • Fully remote contract
  • Milestone-based payment structure
  • Direct collaboration with underwriting stakeholders
  • Potential for renewal on future document automation work
