About the role

Support teams drown in repetitive questions that already have answers — scattered across wikis, past tickets, product docs, and Slack threads. Our AI knowledge base unifies all these sources into a single retrieval system that support agents can query in natural language and get verified, up-to-date answers instantly. As a junior knowledge base developer, you'll help build and maintain the ingestion pipelines that keep our knowledge base current: crawling internal documentation, extracting structured information from support tickets, chunking and embedding content for retrieval, and running quality audits on retrieved answers. You'll work alongside senior NLP engineers who handle the retrieval architecture. Your focus is the data side — making sure the right content gets into the system, stays fresh, and retrieves accurately when agents need it.

Responsibilities

  • Build content ingestion pipelines from wikis, tickets, and documentation
  • Chunk and embed content for optimal retrieval quality
  • Run quality audits on knowledge base retrieval accuracy
  • Monitor content freshness and flag outdated information
  • Assist senior engineers with retrieval pipeline improvements

Requirements

  • Python proficiency with API integration experience
  • Basic understanding of RAG concepts and vector search
  • SQL skills for querying content databases
  • Interest in NLP and information retrieval
  • Systematic approach to data quality and testing
