AI Late-Arriving Data Reconciliation Engineer

About the role

As a fully async team spread across nine time zones, we believe great engineers can build meaningful things without daily standups getting in the way. Late-arriving events break downstream aggregates in ways that are hard to catch until a customer notices their dashboard numbers don't add up. You'll join our streaming data team to build reconciliation logic that detects and corrects records that arrive after their aggregation window has already closed. It's a junior role with real ownership: you'll ship your first reconciliation job within the first month.

Responsibilities

  • Build reconciliation logic for late-arriving streaming records
  • Detect and correct aggregates affected by out-of-order data
  • Write tests covering common late-arrival edge cases

Requirements

  • 1-2 years working with streaming or batch data pipelines
  • Basic familiarity with spark, kafka, or airflow
  • Comfortable working async with limited synchronous meetings
