About the role

Contract review takes lawyers hours per document. Our AI does the first pass in seconds — highlighting unusual clauses, flagging missing standard terms, comparing against clause libraries, and scoring risk. But the AI needs constant calibration, and that's where you come in. As a junior AI legal document analyst, you'll evaluate the AI's contract review outputs against expert legal annotations. You'll identify where the system makes mistakes, build test datasets for edge cases, and help the engineering team prioritize improvements. You'll also maintain the clause library that the AI uses as its reference standard. No law degree required, but you need to be comfortable reading contracts and learning legal terminology quickly. This role is perfect for someone with an analytical mind who wants to work in legal tech without being a lawyer.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI contract review outputs against expert legal annotations
  • Build and curate test datasets for clause detection edge cases
  • Maintain and expand the reference clause library for AI comparison
  • Analyze error patterns and prioritize improvement recommendations
  • Support the engineering team with domain-specific quality requirements

Requirements
