AI Legal Spend Forecasting Analyst

About the role

Our clients include Fortune 500 companies in financial services. Reliability and auditability are non-negotiable. We built our contract intelligence platform to help legal teams extract risk signals from thousands of agreements, and now we need someone who can turn that extraction layer into forward-looking spend forecasts for general counsel offices. You'll work closely with our legal NLP team to translate clause-level data into budget models that finance teams actually trust. This role sits at the intersection of legal ops and applied statistics, reporting directly to our Head of Data.

Responsibilities

  • Build outside counsel spend forecasting models from historical invoice and matter data
  • Partner with the legal NLP team to enrich forecasts with contract clause signals
  • Design dashboards that let GC offices track budget variance in real time
  • Validate forecast accuracy against quarterly actuals and refine model inputs

Requirements

  • 5+ years building forecasting or financial analytics models in production
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for time-series analysis
  • Experience working with legal, finance, or compliance datasets
  • Comfortable presenting statistical findings to non-technical executives
