About the role

Have you ever wanted to build AI tools that actually help someone struggle less through their first year of a new language, not just generate flashy demos? That's the whole point of this role. You'll build the pipeline that turns raw audio and transcripts into graded listening comprehension exercises, adjusting vocabulary difficulty and question complexity to a learner's current level. It's a well-scoped, product-facing project with a clear success metric: learners finishing more exercises without giving up halfway through. You'll work directly with our curriculum team, who will review your generated exercises and give you fast, concrete feedback on what's working and what feels artificial.

Responsibilities

  • Build prompt pipelines that generate leveled listening comprehension exercises
  • Iterate on prompts using feedback from curriculum reviewers
  • Tune difficulty scoring so exercises match learner proficiency
  • Track completion and drop-off metrics for generated exercises

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience with LLM-based prompt engineering or NLP tooling
  • Comfortable iterating quickly based on qualitative feedback
  • Interest in language learning or education products is a plus
  • Working Python skills
