AI LLM Output Regression Test Engineer

About the role

Every time a client swaps a model version or tweaks a system prompt, something breaks and nobody notices for two weeks. Ravio Tech sells QA automation to software teams, and our customers now want the same safety net for their LLM features. We're hiring a contractor to build a regression testing harness for LLM outputs: golden datasets, semantic diffing, rubric-based grading and CI integration. You'll work closely with our QA platform lead and two backend engineers, with a 9-month initial term.

Responsibilities

  • Build a test harness that replays golden prompts against new model or prompt versions
  • Implement semantic and rubric-based comparisons beyond exact string matching
  • Expose results through a FastAPI service our CI integrations can call
  • Write guides showing customers how to build their own golden datasets

Requirements

  • Experience testing or evaluating LLM applications in production
  • Solid Python and API design skills (FastAPI preferred)
  • Understanding of non-determinism, temperature and how to control flaky outputs
  • Docker and basic CI/CD knowledge
