AI Load Testing Cost Estimation Engineer

About the role

Kubernetes, docker, and aws spend reports are the core of what we build. If you've ever watched a load test rack up a five-figure cloud bill overnight because nobody estimated the cost first, this contract role is about fixing that for our customers. You'll build a model that predicts compute and network cost for a proposed load test scenario before it runs, then flag scenarios likely to blow past budget so teams can adjust scope in advance.

Responsibilities

  • Build cost prediction models for proposed load testing scenarios
  • Flag budget-risk scenarios before test execution begins
  • Integrate cost estimates into the existing test scheduling tool
  • Validate predictions against actual aws billing data post-run

Requirements

  • Strong background in kubernetes and cloud cost optimization
  • Comfortable with mlflow for tracking estimation model iterations
  • 6-month contract engagement, extension possible
  • Experience with aws billing and usage data a strong plus
