AI Marketplace NLP Trust Analyst

About the role

You'll be the fifth NLP hire on a trust and safety team of fourteen, working directly with our marketplace integrity lead to catch review manipulation and fake listing language before buyers ever see it. We're looking for someone to build classification and generation models that flag suspicious seller language patterns, then explain those flags in plain terms our human reviewers can act on quickly. The scale here is real: millions of new listings post every week, and the models you ship directly determine what buyers trust enough to purchase.

Responsibilities

  • Build NLP models detecting suspicious seller language patterns
  • Generate plain-language explanations for flagged listings
  • Tune classification thresholds with the trust and safety team
  • Monitor model drift as seller tactics evolve

Requirements

  • 6+ years of NLP engineering experience
  • Experience with OpenAI API and Hugging Face models
  • Strong SQL skills for trust and safety data analysis
  • Comfortable working two days per week in-office
