About the role

As a fully async team spread across 9 time zones, we believe great engineers can do their best work without a shared meeting slot — which is exactly why we built a product that turns recorded meetings into clear action items, owners, and deadlines automatically. This contract role is focused on the extraction pipeline itself: parsing noisy transcripts, resolving who owns what when speakers are ambiguous, and pushing structured tasks into whatever tool the customer already uses. You'll own a FastAPI service that sits between our transcription layer and customer integrations, iterating quickly based on real usage data.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the action item extraction pipeline on top of meeting transcripts
  • Improve owner and deadline resolution accuracy using real customer transcript data
  • Own the FastAPI service that connects extraction output to downstream integrations
  • Iterate on prompt design for the OpenAI-backed extraction step

Requirements

  • Experience building production services on top of the OpenAI API
  • Comfortable with LangChain or a similar orchestration framework
  • Solid FastAPI or comparable Python web framework experience
  • Available for a 3-6 month contract with potential extension
