About the role

Our data catalog has thousands of tables with no description, no owner, and no lineage. Analysts waste hours guessing what a column means before they trust it. You'll build enrichment pipelines that auto-generate table and column descriptions from query patterns and schema metadata, then route uncertain cases to data owners for review. We don't care where you work from. We care about output, clear communication, and ownership of the catalog's data quality over time.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build metadata enrichment pipelines for the internal data catalog
  • Route low-confidence descriptions to data owners for review
  • Track catalog completeness metrics over time

Requirements

  • Experience with sql and data cataloging tools
  • Familiarity with airflow for pipeline orchestration
  • Comfortable working async across time zones
