AI Model Audit Engineer

About the role

Our mission is to make AI systems accountable before regulators force the issue. This role sits at the center of that mission: auditing models before they ship, not after something goes wrong. You'll design repeatable audit procedures that check for statistical bias, performance degradation, and undocumented assumptions across the models our clients submit for review. Every audit produces a report that a non-technical governance committee has to be able to read and act on. This starts as a contract engagement with a clear path to a full-time offer once you've completed a full audit cycle with our governance team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run model audit procedures for bias and performance drift
  • Package findings into reports a non-technical committee can act on
  • Work with docker-packaged model artifacts submitted by client teams
  • Recommend remediation steps when an audit surfaces a real issue

Requirements

  • 5+ years combining statistics with hands-on ML engineering
  • Experience with scikit-learn and TensorFlow model internals
  • Comfortable writing for a non-technical governance audience
  • Prior exposure to AI governance or model risk work is a plus
