AI Model Card Auto-Generation Engineer

About the role

PyTorch models come and go on our benchmarking platform, but the documentation describing what each one actually does rarely keeps up, which frustrates every team relying on our leaderboards. You'll build a small FastAPI service that pulls metadata from MLflow-tracked benchmark runs and auto-generates draft model cards covering training data, evaluation results, and known limitations. It's a contract-to-hire role with real ownership from week one — you'll be the person who decides what a good auto-generated model card actually looks like.

Responsibilities

  • Build the FastAPI service that auto-generates draft model cards from MLflow run metadata
  • Define the template structure covering training data, evaluation, and limitations
  • Iterate on generation quality based on feedback from the benchmarking team
  • Fix gaps where MLflow metadata is missing or inconsistent across runs

Requirements

  • Basic Python and FastAPI experience
  • Some familiarity with MLflow or willingness to learn quickly
  • Interest in ML documentation and responsible AI practices
  • Comfortable in a contract-to-hire arrangement with a 3-month evaluation period
