AI Model Deployment Automation Engineer

About the role

We just closed a wave of new enterprise contracts and our manual model deployment process is starting to buckle under the volume. We need a hands-on engineer to automate the parts of our release process that still involve someone clicking buttons at 2am. You'll build Airflow-orchestrated pipelines that package, validate, and promote models through staging to production with minimal human intervention, working closely with our two senior MLOps engineers who will mentor you along the way. This is a contract role with a clear path to renewal if the fit is right, and you'll see your automation work go live within your first few weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Automate model packaging and promotion pipelines in Airflow
  • Reduce manual steps in the staging-to-production release flow
  • Add automated validation checks before deployment gates
  • Document runbooks for the automated pipeline

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Some exposure to Airflow or a similar orchestration tool
  • Familiarity with MLflow experiment tracking
  • Comfortable working independently on a contract basis
