AI Model Deprecation Migration Engineer

About the role

We just announced the deprecation of two legacy model versions, and dozens of enterprise clients now need a migration path before the sunset date hits. We need a senior engineer to own the tooling that analyzes a client's current prompts and usage patterns, then recommends the closest-fit replacement model along with the prompt adjustments needed to keep output quality stable. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints, clear ownership, and weekly syncs with client success, working under real deadline pressure since every week of delay is a week clients spend on a model that's about to disappear.

Responsibilities

  • Build tooling that analyzes client usage against deprecated models
  • Recommend replacement models and prompt adjustments per client
  • Partner with client success to prioritize high-risk migrations
  • Track output quality stability across migrated clients

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production LLM-backed systems
  • Experience with prompt engineering and model evaluation
  • Comfortable working under real deadline pressure
