AI Model Rollback Automation Developer

About the role

You'll be the third platform engineer on a team of nine, working directly with our infrastructure lead on a problem every ML platform eventually hits: rollbacks that take too long because nobody automated them. Right now, rolling back a bad model deployment requires a manual runbook and an on-call engineer awake enough to follow it correctly under pressure. You will build automated rollback triggers based on live model health signals. You'll integrate directly with our existing model registry and Kubernetes deployment infrastructure, with weekly syncs against the model governance team to make sure rollback criteria stay aligned with policy.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated rollback triggers based on live model health and performance signals
  • Integrate rollback automation with the existing model registry and deployment infrastructure
  • Define and tune rollback thresholds in partnership with the model governance team
  • Run failure-injection drills to validate rollback automation actually works under pressure
  • Maintain clear audit logs of every automated rollback event

Requirements

  • 3+ years in platform or MLOps engineering
  • Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience in production
  • Comfortable working within AWS-based infrastructure
  • Experience with model registries or deployment orchestration tooling
