AI Motion Capture Cleanup Engineer

About the role

The animations you'll clean up ship in productions watched by millions of viewers, and raw motion capture data almost never arrives usable straight off the suit. We need an experienced freelancer to build automated cleanup models that remove jitter and marker occlusion artifacts, cutting the manual cleanup hours our animation team currently spends on every single shot.

Responsibilities

  • Build models that automatically clean up motion capture jitter and occlusion
  • Benchmark cleanup quality against manually corrected reference shots
  • Integrate cleanup tooling into the existing animation pipeline
  • Train junior riggers on how to use the new automated tools

Requirements

  • 6+ years working with motion capture or computer vision pipelines
  • Strong PyTorch experience with sequential/time-series data
  • Portfolio demonstrating prior motion capture or animation ML work
  • Available for a freelance engagement of roughly 4-6 months
