AI Multi-Agent Orchestration Reliability Engineer

About the role

You'll be the sixth engineer on a team of 20, working directly with our LLM platform leads on the layer that keeps multi-agent workflows from silently failing in production. Right now, when one agent in a chain stalls or returns a malformed handoff, the whole workflow just hangs. Your job is to build the reliability layer that detects, retries, and gracefully degrades those failures. This is one of the most visible reliability problems on our roadmap this year.

Responsibilities

  • Design failure detection and retry logic across multi-agent workflows
  • Own reliability metrics and alerting for agent orchestration pipelines
  • Partner with platform teams to integrate graceful degradation patterns
  • Reduce silent failure rates across production agent chains

Requirements

  • 6+ years in distributed systems or ML infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with LangChain or similar agent frameworks
  • Strong Kubernetes and containerized deployment background
  • Track record debugging complex production failure modes
