AI Multi-Cloud Egress Fee Anomaly Detector

About the role

We just onboarded three customers running workloads across four cloud providers simultaneously, and their egress bills keep spiking in ways their own teams can't explain until weeks after the invoice arrives. You will build anomaly detection over multi-cloud egress fee data, catching unexpected cross-region or cross-provider data movement early enough for teams to act before the next billing cycle closes. You'll own this model end to end, integrating with our existing cost attribution pipeline and presenting findings directly to customer FinOps teams during onboarding and quarterly reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Build anomaly detection models over multi-cloud egress fee and data transfer patterns
  • Integrate detection with the existing cost attribution and reporting pipeline
  • Maintain Snowflake-backed data warehousing feeding the anomaly detection model
  • Present findings directly to customer FinOps teams during reviews
  • Continuously tune detection sensitivity to minimize false alerts

Requirements

  • 6+ years in applied data science or FinOps analytics
  • Strong AWS experience and familiarity with multi-cloud billing data
  • Solid SQL and Snowflake experience
  • Comfortable presenting findings to customer-facing stakeholders
