AI Multi-Cloud Interconnect Latency Engineer

About the role

Kubernetes, gRPC, and a mesh of interconnects across three cloud providers are what keep our training jobs talking to each other without stalling. If you enjoy chasing microsecond-level latency issues across network boundaries, this role is built for you. You will profile cross-cloud traffic between our GPU clusters, identify interconnect bottlenecks, and build automated latency regression tests that run before every infrastructure change. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints, clear ownership of the networking layer, and weekly syncs with the infrastructure lead. This is interesting work because very few engineers get hands-on experience optimizing multi-cloud GPU networking at this scale, and the fixes you ship are felt immediately across every training run on the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Profile latency across multi-cloud GPU interconnects
  • Build automated latency regression tests for infra changes
  • Own the networking layer roadmap for the quarter
  • Partner with the infra lead on capacity planning
  • Document interconnect topology changes

Requirements

  • 3+ years working with multi-cloud or hybrid networking
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Comfortable with AWS and GCP networking primitives
  • Experience building performance regression tooling
