AI Multi-Document Contradiction Detection Engineer

About the role

Have you ever built a knowledge base from dozens of source documents, only to discover two of them flatly contradict each other and nobody noticed for months? Our entity and taxonomy tooling is strong, but it assumes source documents agree with each other. You will build a model that scans document sets for factual contradictions, entity relationship: subject, predicate, object level, then surfaces them for human review with the specific conflicting passages. You'll work alongside our entity resolution and discourse parsing teams, whose existing pipelines become the structured foundation your contradiction detector builds on top of.

Responsibilities

  • Build models detecting factual contradictions across large multi-document corpora
  • Surface conflicting passages with enough context for fast human review
  • Integrate with existing entity resolution and discourse parsing pipelines
  • Benchmark contradiction recall against manually curated test sets
  • Document known failure modes for downstream knowledge base teams

Requirements

  • 6+ years in applied NLP, ideally information extraction or fact verification
  • Strong Python and Hugging Face experience
  • Familiarity with LangChain or comparable orchestration tooling
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous, partially structured text data
