About the role

We serve enterprise clients across 14 countries who each expect our AI assistant to sound like it was built specifically for their market, not translated as an afterthought. That expectation is the entire reason this role exists. As Senior AI Multilingual Prompt Localization Engineer, you'll build the prompt and retrieval architecture that adapts tone, idiom, and formality per locale, using LlamaIndex-backed retrieval to ground responses in region-specific knowledge bases. You'll work from our Tokyo office alongside the core NLP team, with direct input into how the platform expands into new markets next year.

Responsibilities

  • Design locale-aware prompt architectures for enterprise clients
  • Build RAG pipelines grounded in region-specific knowledge bases
  • Own tone and formality calibration across 14 markets
  • Partner with regional teams on new market launches

Requirements

  • 6+ years of NLP engineering experience
  • Deep hands-on experience with RAG and LlamaIndex
  • Experience localizing AI products for enterprise clients
  • Comfortable working on-site in Tokyo
