AI Multilingual Voice Assistant Engineer

About the role

We're building voice assistants that sound natural in more than a dozen languages, not just English with a translated script bolted on. Our voice cloning and prosody research already powers assistants for several international clients, but true multilingual support means handling code-switching, regional accents, and language-specific intonation patterns correctly. You'll take our existing speech models and extend them to new languages, working closely with our linguistics consultants. We publish internally and support conference submissions, so if you like combining applied engineering with genuine research, you'll fit right in.

Responsibilities

  • Extend existing voice models to support additional languages
  • Handle code-switching and accent variation in multilingual audio
  • Collaborate with linguistics consultants on language-specific tuning
  • Benchmark voice quality across languages using consistent metrics
  • Document findings for internal research review

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with speech or audio ML models
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face
  • Experience with multilingual NLP or speech systems a strong plus
  • Comfortable collaborating with non-engineering linguistics experts
  • Fluency in a second language is a bonus, not a requirement
