AI Onboarding Drop-off Prediction Engineer

About the role

Half our trial users disappear during onboarding and we don't know why until it's too late to intervene. Small team, direct impact: four of us own the entire growth analytics stack, from event pipeline to the dashboards product managers check every morning. Our product helps SaaS teams run in-app experiments. You'll build the model that flags accounts likely to drop off mid-onboarding and ship the trigger that gets them a nudge before they churn. Fast iteration, real numbers, no committees.

Responsibilities

  • Build models predicting onboarding drop-off from event-level data
  • Ship triggers that surface at-risk accounts to the growth team
  • Own the feature pipeline feeding the prediction model
  • Measure impact of interventions against a holdout group
  • Iterate weekly based on live results

Requirements

  • Experience with predictive modeling on behavioral or event data
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Comfortable owning a model end-to-end, from data to deployment
  • Bias toward shipping over perfecting
