About the role

We publish internally and encourage conference submissions, and we expect this role to bring the same rigor to a real production problem: matching submitted papers to qualified peer reviewers faster than the manual process editors use today. You'll build the matching engine that scores reviewer expertise against paper topics and prior review history, then hand editors a ranked shortlist instead of a blank search box. This is applied research with a shipped product at the end of it.

Responsibilities

  • Build a matching engine scoring reviewer expertise against paper topics
  • Incorporate prior review history into ranking logic
  • Document methodology for internal research review

Requirements

  • 5+ years in applied ML or recommendation systems
  • Comfortable working with academic or citation data
  • Track record shipping production matching or ranking systems
