About the role

Spread across nine time zones and fully async, our team still expects reliable answers fast when cloud spend spikes unexpectedly. Our observability spend across AWS and GCP has grown faster than the value it delivers, and nobody currently owns the cost side of that equation. You'll design cost-aware scheduling and rightsizing logic for our Kubernetes clusters, working in Python and Docker, and partner with the SRE team to make sure savings never come at the expense of reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design cost-aware scheduling and rightsizing logic for Kubernetes clusters
  • Analyze AWS and GCP spend to identify optimization opportunities
  • Partner with the SRE team to balance cost savings against reliability

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes cost optimization on AWS or GCP
  • Solid Python and Docker skills for building automation tooling
  • Comfort working async across a globally distributed team
