About the role

Our brand clients keep asking if they were mentioned on podcasts, and right now the answer takes a human analyst two days of manual listening to confirm. We believe smaller brands deserve the same media intelligence that big agencies charge a fortune for, so we're building a transcription-and-detection pipeline that catches every mention within hours. This is a contract engagement to build the first working version, working closely with our head of analytics on accuracy targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build a pipeline that transcribes and detects brand mentions in podcasts
  • Tune detection accuracy against a labeled validation set
  • Report weekly progress to the head of analytics

Requirements

  • 1-2 years working with speech-to-text or NLP tooling
  • Comfortable with a fixed-scope contract engagement
  • Detail-oriented approach to accuracy validation
