AI Post-Surgical Recovery Monitoring Analyst

Wyatt Tanaka

Full-time · Job · Denver

About the role

Our mission is to make AI explainable to non-technical stakeholders, including the surgical teams who rely on our tools daily. This role focuses on the recovery window after surgery rather than the procedure itself: we collect post-op wearable and check-in data, and we need models that flag patients trending toward complications before they show up in the clinic. You'll build on our existing clinical decision support infrastructure while owning this specific recovery-monitoring workstream from data ingestion through alerting.

Responsibilities

  • Build predictive models that flag elevated post-surgical complication risk from wearable data
  • Design alerting thresholds in collaboration with clinical advisors
  • Analyze recovery trajectory patterns across procedure types
  • Document model behavior clearly enough for clinical review boards

Requirements

  • 3+ years building predictive models on time-series health data
  • Proficiency with PyTorch and pandas for signal processing
  • Experience translating model output into clinician-facing explanations
  • Comfortable working within HIPAA-aware data environments

Benefits

  • Fully remote position
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Stock options
  • Clinical advisory mentorship
  • Flexible working hours
