About the role

Scirvex Intelligence builds AI tools for research institutions and pharmaceutical R&D teams who need to monitor the scientific literature at scale. Every day, 5,000+ preprints are posted to bioRxiv, medRxiv, arXiv, and SSRN. Our clients need to know which ones are relevant to their research agenda — today, not next week after peer review. In this junior role, you'll build the classification and relevance screening models that filter the daily preprint stream for each client. You'll fine-tune domain-specific classification models, develop relevance scoring pipelines based on client-defined research portfolios, and help maintain the ingestion pipeline that keeps preprint feeds current. You'll work closely with a senior NLP engineer who will guide your model development. This is a high-feedback-loop environment: clients tell us within days whether our relevance scores are hitting or missing. You'll iterate quickly on model quality based on real user feedback. A great entry point for someone with NLP coursework or project experience who wants to work with real scientific text.

Fully remote.
