About the role

Enterprise procurement teams negotiate thousands of vendor contracts annually and have no systematic way to know if they're getting good prices. Our AI analyzes procurement data across industries to provide pricing benchmarks, identify savings opportunities, and predict which contracts are most likely to yield concessions during renegotiation. You'll build the pricing intelligence layer: normalizing procurement data across different product categories and contract structures, building pricing benchmark models from cross-company spend data, and identifying anomalies that suggest overpayment — a software license renewed at 20% above market, a services contract with unusual fee structures, or a supplier whose prices haven't decreased despite commodity cost drops. Procurement intelligence is sensitive work — the data reveals competitive pricing and vendor relationships. You'll build models that provide insights without exposing individual company data, using techniques that deliver useful benchmarks while maintaining strict data isolation between clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build pricing benchmark models from cross-industry procurement data
  • Identify savings opportunities and overpayment anomalies in vendor contracts
  • Predict renegotiation success likelihood based on contract characteristics
  • Normalize procurement data across product categories and contract structures
  • Create intelligence dashboards for procurement team decision support

Requirements

  • 3+ years in data analytics with procurement or supply chain experience
  • Strong Python and scikit-learn skills for pricing analysis
  • SQL proficiency for large-scale procurement data queries
  • Tableau or visualization skills for executive reporting
  • Understanding of vendor contract structures and negotiation dynamics
