AI Product Attribute Normalization Engineer

Isaac Singh

Full-time · Job · New_York

About the role

We're building the product knowledge layer that marketplaces use to make catalogs searchable and comparable. Suppliers describe the same thing a hundred ways: "navy", "dark blue", "midnight"; "15.6in" and "39.6 cm". Until those values are normalized, filters break and recommendations get weaker. You'll build models that map raw supplier attributes onto our canonical schema, using our product knowledge graph as context and retrieval to ground ambiguous cases. Your work feeds directly into faceted search for several large marketplaces.

Responsibilities

  • Build attribute extraction and normalization models for supplier product data
  • Use retrieval from our knowledge graph to resolve ambiguous values
  • Measure normalization accuracy by category and attribute type
  • Work with taxonomy specialists when new attributes enter the schema

Requirements

  • Experience with NLP models for extraction or entity normalization
  • Comfortable with Hugging Face transformers and Python
  • Working SQL and some Spark experience
  • Interest in e-commerce or product data

Benefits

  • Remote within US time zones
  • Equity package
  • Health and retirement benefits
  • Annual learning stipend
