AI Product Photography Relighting Engineer

About the role

We're building the generative imaging layer that e-commerce brands use to turn a single product photo into an entire catalog. Our try-on, texture synthesis, and staging pipelines already reshape and restyle products convincingly, but lighting is still the tell that gives away a synthetic shot. You'll build the relighting engine that takes a product photo shot under one light setup and renders it convincingly under studio, outdoor, or lifestyle lighting on request, matching shadows and reflections believably.

Responsibilities

  • Build relighting models that generalize across product materials and shapes
  • Maintain shadow and reflection consistency under new lighting conditions
  • Optimize inference latency for catalog-scale batch processing
  • Work with the broader image pipeline team on shared model infrastructure

Requirements

  • Experience with generative computer vision or neural rendering
  • Comfortable with PyTorch and containerized deployment
  • Attention to physically plausible lighting and shadow detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-iterating generative AI team
