AI Property Tax Assessment Analyst

About the role

We serve county assessor offices that need defensible, explainable property valuations every tax cycle. The person in this role will lead the statistical modeling behind our assessment recommendations, working on-site with our government relations team so assumptions can be reviewed and challenged by assessors before anything goes into a public record. Reliability and auditability are non-negotiable here.

Responsibilities

  • Lead statistical modeling for property tax assessment recommendations
  • Document every modeling assumption for assessor and public review
  • Validate assessments against comparable sales and appeal outcomes
  • Present methodology to county assessor offices when requested

Requirements

  • 6+ years in statistical modeling, real estate analytics, or econometrics
  • Strong R or Python skills for regression-based valuation modeling
  • Experience presenting technical methodology to non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working on-site with government stakeholders
