About the role

Live sports broadcasts show instant replays — but selecting the best camera angle, identifying the key moment, and framing the replay still requires a human director making split-second decisions. Our AI assists broadcast directors by automatically identifying highlight moments, ranking camera angles by visual quality and relevance, and pre-editing replay candidates in real-time. You'll build the real-time analysis pipeline: multi-camera action detection identifying significant moments, visual quality scoring across simultaneous feeds, temporal segmentation that isolates the replay-worthy segment, and the low-latency serving infrastructure that delivers recommendations to directors within 2 seconds of the live event. Broadcast production is unforgiving — there are no retakes. The system must be reliable under extreme time pressure, and every recommendation must be genuinely useful. A false highlight wastes director attention during a live broadcast. You'll engineer for reliability and relevance simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Build real-time multi-camera action detection for live broadcast analysis
  • Design visual quality scoring across simultaneous camera feeds
  • Implement temporal segmentation isolating replay-worthy moments
  • Engineer low-latency serving delivering recommendations within 2 seconds
  • Collaborate with broadcast directors on recommendation relevance tuning

Requirements

  • 6+ years in computer vision with real-time processing experience
  • Strong PyTorch skills for video analysis models
  • Experience with Kafka or streaming data architectures
  • Understanding of broadcast production workflows
  • Track record building low-latency ML serving systems
