About the role

Developer-facing companies lose trust when their release notes lag their releases by days or read like internal commit messages. We've seen this kill trial conversions. Our clients — API-first SaaS companies — need release notes that are accurate, audience-appropriate, and available within minutes of a deploy. This is an early-career role with a narrow, well-defined first project: build the pipeline that turns git diff summaries and internal change tickets into polished, audience-segmented release notes. You'll use LangChain and GPT-4o to do the heavy lifting, but the hard part is quality — making sure the output is actually correct and doesn't hallucinate API changes. You'll sit on our developer tools team and pair closely with a senior engineer for your first 3 months. The scope will expand based on your velocity.

Responsibilities

  • Build the pipeline from git diff/ticket data to release note drafts using LangChain
  • Implement audience segmentation (developer vs. end-user vs. executive) into the prompt flow
  • Design hallucination detection checks by diffing generated notes against source diffs
  • Create a review API that routes drafts to human editors before publication
  • Write tests covering the core quality checks

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Python development experience
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs and prompt engineering basics
  • Enthusiasm for developer tooling and writing quality
  • Ability to work independently with clear scoping and senior pairing
