About the role

Our threat detection models degrade faster than we can retrain them, and attackers adapt within weeks. We're looking for a research scientist to build the next generation of detection models that generalize better and last longer in production. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints, clear ownership, and weekly syncs with leadership. This is a research role with a production mandate: your work ships, it doesn't sit in a notebook.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full research pipeline from hypothesis to production evaluation
  • Design robust evaluation benchmarks that resist adversarial drift
  • Partner with the platform team to productionize new model architectures
  • Publish internal findings and present results to leadership
  • Mentor junior researchers on experimental design

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent industry experience in machine learning research
  • Strong publication or applied research track record
  • Deep familiarity with PyTorch and TensorFlow
  • Solid grounding in statistics and experimental methodology
  • Comfortable defending research decisions to a technical audience
